We provide a bespoke one-to-one service for all our customers. All house move quotes are carried out by visiting your property and assessing what needs to be moved. Home surveys are free and no obligation. Alternatively, you can contact us via our Facebook page, phone, text or email us regarding your requirements.
We can dismantle and assemble standard furniture for you such as beds, tables and wardrobes. Anything that we dismantle we will put back together unless otherwise stated during the survey and quote stage.
Yes, we will carefully and professionally pack all your fragile and boxable effects saving you time and effort. You can rest assured that your personal belongings are packed by trained staff to a high standard. Letting you concentrate on what matters. We also can offer removal crate hire if you wish to self pack your items.
This depends on many factors, such as, how large your home is, how many belongings you have, how much furniture you own and what type of removal service you require. Most home removals are done in one day but if you require a home packing service this normally adds an additional day, depending on your circumstances. This can be clarified over the phone or during your home survey.
The simple answer is no. We believe moving home is stressful enough and you don’t need the added pressure and fear of an additional bill coming your way at the end of the removal. Providing your move is completed within the same day there will be no “late key” fees nor any surcharges to move you at a weekend. The only item we provide at extra cost is self-adhesive carpet protector film, you are welcome to ask the removal team how much extra it will be to use this in your home to help protect your carpets. For health and safety reasons our staff cannot remove their safety shoes whilst carrying any goods.
We require a non refundable 20% deposit to secure your booking. The remaining fee is then due the day before removal day. We accept payment by bank transfer, card and cash. We are happy for you to pay whichever way is easiest for you.
Yes, you can rest assured that you are covered when using Sonny’s Removals to help with your home move. We have full Goods in Transit insurance and Public Liability insurance. Please refer to our terms and conditions regarding our liabilities for loss and damage.
Helpful Hints
- We understand things don’t go to plan and dates can change. If they do just let us know and we will do our best to adjust your new moving date.
- If packing yourself ensure you allow enough time starting with the less important things making sure you keep important stuff until last. We advise keeping a bag aside for essentials items you need access to.
- Ensure all boxes are liftable and not overfilled with books and heavy items.
- Mark all your boxes accordingly so we can place the boxes in the correct area.
- If you don’t have a driveway for us to park on, please ensure that the closest possible space is kept free by the night before by using your vehicle, rubbish bins or cones. Securing a place to park close by speeds up the move and reduces any risks.
- Declutter and eat up! We cannot overstate how much easier your move will be if you organize your belongings and dispose of any unwanted goods, clothes and food beforehand. Try to use up as much food before move day or donate surplus items to your local food bank or charity shop.
